Arroyo regime proving that armed revolution is necessary and viable

It is pure rubbish for a regime that administers a reactionary social system that is rotten to the core to claim that revolutionary armed struggle is a thing of the past.

On the contrary, it is the ruling neocolonial state that brings only misery and poverty to the people that is the glaring anachronism.

The ruling Arroyo regime is the biggest proof of the necessity and viability of waging armed revolution. Under the puppet, corrupt and militarist Arroyo regime, the Filipino people have no other recourse but to wage armed struggle. It is for this reason that the New People's Army grows in strength every day.

The Arroyo regime is servile to the interests of the US and foreign capitalists. It allows US combat troops to trample on Philippine sovereignty. It cuts government spending on social services while prioritizing payments for onerous debts. It blocks petitions to raise wages. It massacres peasants. It is deaf to the demand for land reform. It bleeds the people dry with one tax measure after another. It lines its pockets with public funds.

The list of the Arroyo regime's transgressions goes on and on.

Under this regime, the one viable option is armed revolution. The CPP enjoins the Filipino people to join the New People's Army and vigorously advance their revolutionary armed struggle. The new-democratic and socialist revolution is the wave of the future.
