It is no less than the US-Macapagal-Arroyo regime that shows the need for continuing the armed struggle

The revolutionary movement can never agree to Macapagal-Arroyo adviser Norberto Gonzales call for it to abandon the armed struggle.

It is the US-Macapagal-Arroyo regimes exploitative and oppressive policies that provide the biggest bases why the Filipino people should continue advancing the armed struggle. In fact, more and more heroic workers, peasants, youth and women have expressed their desire to join the NPA under this regime.

The Macapagal-Arroyo regime intensifies the peoples oppression, poverty and suppression through

1. unbridled liberalization that opens the countrys economy to unlimited plunder by foreign monopoly capitalists

2. blind puppetry to US imperialism and complete surrender of national sovereignty in the form of allowing the entry of American troops and encouraging their permanent presence

3. all-out militarization, especially in the countryside, that has led to numerous violations of human rights and international humanitarian law and wreaked havoc on the peoples livelihood.

With Macapagal-Arroyo having recently discarded the maximum tolerance policy, and with the brutal attacks against peaceful demonstrators and her declaration of all-out war, the necessity of waging armed struggle has become ever clearer. This has further encouraged the people to take up arms and advance the armed struggle to victory.

As the crisis of the ruling system intensifies, so does the flame of armed revolution spread like wildfire nationwide.
