Bush, Gloria's In Excelsis Deo
September 24, 2003

The Communist Party of the Philippines said in a statement that the real "God" whose final cue Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is waiting for is none other than US President Bush. CPP spokesperson Gregorio "Ka Roger" Rosal said today that as Arroyo readies to go to the US for talks with American officials, she is actually setting the stage for Bush's divine declaration for her to run in the coming presidential elections. "In truth, her blind divine worship is to US imperialism, her social class and her political and economic interests."

"Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has unabashedly made an idol of the penultimate terrorist US President Bush," Rosal said in reaction to Malacanang's announcement the other day that the president was waiting for divine guidance on her decision whether to run or not in next year's presidential elections.

The CPP spokesman said that Arroyo will likely use her visit to the United States to convince US officials to finally declare their formal endorsement of her candidacy in next year's elections.

"Arroyo only wants to hear her imperialist god to whisper to her ear the music about her running. Pero bingi siya sa mga idinadaing ng mamamayan. Bingi siya sa sigaw na patalsikin siya sa poder," added Rosal.

Rosal castigated Arroyo for "unabashed hypocrisy in invoking divine guidance even as she continues to disregard human rights, trample on the country's national sovereignty and the Pilipino people's interest." ###
