CPP warns US troops anew against encroachment in revolutionary territories

Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) spokesman Gregorio "Ka Roger" Rosal issued the following statement regarding planned joint military exercises between the US and Philippine armed forces in the Southern Tagalog area:

The CPP condemns the US and Philippine armed forces for carrying out military operations in the Southern Tagalog area using relief operations as a pretext. The CPP believes that the ultimate aim of slated US-RP military operations in Quezon and Laguna is to encroach upon revolutionary territories.

An increasing number of US combat troops and spies are directly interfering in the armed conflicts in the Philippines. These constitute escalating US military intervention and are a blatant mockery of Philippine sovereignty.

The continued escalation of US military intervention is bound to further intensify the armed conflict in the Philippines. Revolutionary forces are ready to fight US combat troops that help the AFP trample on human rights and kill Filipinos.
