US is setting stage to wage war against the NPA - Ka Roger

In a statement released today, Gregorio �Ka Roger� Rosal, CPP spokesperson, warned that the US plan to deploy more troops �is in line with the US plan to maintain permanent presence in the Philippines and part of its bigger plan to wage war directly against the revolutionary forces, particularly the NPA and the MILF�.

Rosal also said that part of this plan is the propaganda drive against the NPA and MILF being orchestrated by American psywar experts. They hope �to taint the integrity of revolutionary forces� and depict them as terrorists and criminals.

The CPP spokesperson further stated that the planned deployment of more troops has been previously agreed upon by the Bush and Macapagal-Arroyo governments contrary to Macapagal-Arroyo�s claim that the proposals have yet to reach her desk. �They are (in fact) only preparing the legal justifications.�

�The patriotic forces and Filipino people should all the more protest the US armed intervention in the country, resist its escalation, denounce the worsening treachery of the Macapagal-Arroyo regime and demand that the US troops be sent home�, Rosal concluded.
