CPP denounces AFP lies about child rebels, reiterates calls on more youth to join the NPA

The Communist Party of the Philippines denounced the AFP for keeping on repeating lies about supposed child rebels.

CPP spokesperson Gregorio "Ka Roger" Rosal said in a statement that the AFP psywar department is so fond of Geobble's fascist propaganda dictum that by keeping on repeating a lie, the people will later accept it as true. "That is why, the AFP dirty propaganda machine keeps on churning this lie about child soldiers."

Rosal said the AFP's latest spin about having captured "'172 NPA child rebels' is obviously full of lies, twisted facts, convoluted logic and baseless premises."

"The AFP has obviously noted the Party and NPA have explicitly affirmed and are strictly following the rule that all new recruits of the NPA are 18 years old and older. But, just to force the issue, the AFP has now concocted a new standard for what it calls as children — 21 years old. Sino ba naman ang matinong mag-aakalang paslit pa ang 18 - 21 taong gulang? Many of these new recruits have even long been working as farmers or workers and some of them were former college students."

Rosal added, "For want or anything to show as evidence, the AFP even had to cite a previous statement of ours that more and more youth are joining the revolution. They should know that 'youth' is a lot different from 'children'."

The CPP spokesperson all the more reiterated the call of the CPP and the NPA for more youth who are 18 years old or older to join the NPA. He praised that high sense of patriotism, sensitivity to social issues, keen interest in the plight of the masses, their zest and vigor, their education and abiity to communicate as positive traits that make them very useful to the Party, the NPA and the revolutionary movement.
