Ka Oris: NDF Mindanao acclaims NPA tactical offensives, calls further intensification of military actions in the island

"The NDF Mindanao lauds the courageous field commanders and Red fighters of the New People?s Army units in Mindanao for the successful coordinated and intensified tactical offensives across the island," Ka Oris said today.

Ka Oris mentions at least 25 successful armed actions launched since September 24 to October 10. Among the highlights of the tactical offensives that gave severe blows to the enemy were the raid in Talacogon, Agusan del Sur and ambushes in Sapang Dalaga, Misamis Occidental and in Mat-i, Surigao City on top of the widespread successful attritive actions against the Philippine Army headquarters, outposts and detachments that resulted to heavy casualties and demoralization on the enemy side.

These resulted to 18 enemy troops killed and 27 wounded.

The NDF spokesperson earlier said these tactical offensives were the Mindanao people's answer to Arroyo's de facto Martial Rule and contribution to people's movement to end the current regime the soonest time possible.

The continued grip on power of the fake president Arroyo meant the sufferings of the people.

"The continuing price hike of oil, basic commodities and services, the bloody and malicious dispersal of street protests and subservience to imperialist interests have even inflamed the people's call to finally end her regime," Ka Oris said.

Moreover, he said, to save her puppet regime from the people's rage, Arroyo desperately kowtows to its imperialist masters by railroading the passage of the anti-terror bill and charter change, and implementing the Marcosian "calibrated pre-emptive response" and its EO 464.

Ka Oris calls to the units of the NPAs in Mindanao to "further step up tactical military offensives to weaken the armed apparatus of the isolated and collapsing US-Arroyo regime."
