The Efren Martires Command (EMC) of the New People’s Army in Eastern Visayas congratulates anew the Rodante Urtal Command (RUC) in Northern Samar for their successful ambush in Catarman last December 18 at around noon. Based on the latest update from the RUC, there were no civilians hurt in the tactical offensive. Instead, eight soldiers were killed and five R4 rifles were taken from the soldiers after four minutes of firefight.

“The AFP brazenly spews lies to cover up their loss and what is a clear victory of the NPA,” said Karlos Manuel, spokesperson of the EMC.

Meanwhile, five soldiers were killed while several others were wounded after another successful tactical offensive of the RUC in Barangay Caputoan, Las Navas last December 22. The offensive, which occurred at 6 in the morning, lasted for an hour and fifteen minutes and without casualty on the side of the NPA. #
