The Socialist Party (SP) renders the highest honour and respects to Professor Jose Maria “Ka Joma” Sison, founding Chairman of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), 8th February 1939 – 16th December 2022.

Comrade Joma bereaved us peacefully on Saturday the 16th of December 2022. An immeasurable loss has been sustained by the passing of Comrade Joma, we have been deprived of an indefatigable revolutionary and uncompromising communist.

We join the CPP in mourning our great leader and we commit to keep red his memory and to live as he did; in faithful and unremitting service to the working class. We offer our deepest sympathies to his wife, Comrade Julie de Lima, his children, family and friends.

Ka Joma Lives!
