Prof. Jose Ma. Sison (born February 8, 1939) was the founding chair of the Communist Party of the Philippines. He passed away on December 16, 202 at the age of 83. He is considered by the CPP as greatest Filipino of the past century. The Central Committee gave the highest possible tribute to Ka Joma as great Marxist-Leninist-Maoist thinker, patriot, internationalist and revolutionary leader. It declared him the greatest hero of the Filipino revolutionary people. The Filipino proletariat and toiling people grieve the death of their teacher and guiding light, even as they vow continue to give all our strength and determination to carry the revolution forward guided by the memory and teachings of the people's beloved Ka Joma.
