NPA-Northern Negros metes punishment against notorious criminal and AFP asset
The New People’s Army (NPA)-Northern Negros (Roselyn Jean Pelle Command) meted punishment against Efren Solinap, a notorious criminal and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) intelligence asset, on March 11. Solinap was killed in Sitio Tinawgan, Barangay Consing, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental.
NPA-Northern Negros spokesperson Ka Cecil Estrella said Solinap was proven guilty of cases involving murder, espionage, and theft. He was involved and served as the leader of a group of thieves implicated in numerous cases of robbery and murder over the past years.
Ka Cecil added that Solinap also acted as an active spy and guide in military combat operations in the area, coordinating with the AFP’s local intelligence network to harass and monitor civilians.
The spokesperson further said “his punishment has long been demanded by the masses in area who bear the brunt of his anti-people activities.” She added that the revolutionary movement had given Solinap sufficient time to mend his crooked ways and cease his anti-people practices. “To the end, he remained an outright counter-revolutionary and criminal,” she said.
“The punishment of Solinap is clear and firm reminder to those who intend to bring harm to the well-being of the people,” Ka Cecil stated. She emphasized that such individuals would be held accountable, just like Solinap.
The NPA-Northern Negros urged all AFP intelligence assets and anti-social and criminal elements in E.B. Magalona and neighboring towns to surrender to a unit of the people’s army and correct their wrongdoings.
