Roselyn Jean Pelle Command – Northern Negros Guerrilla Front of the New People’s Army (RJPC-NPA) belies the statement of the 79th Infantry Battallion Philippine Army (IBPA) that an encounter broke out between the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the New People’s Army (NPA) on December 5, 2021 in Sitio Ania Dos, Winaswasan, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.

Reality is that a mentally-challenged civilian was targetted by the 79th IBPA. The situation of the victim is yet to be verified. The residents of the said area can attest to this claim.

To make the situation even worse, the 79th IBPA used the fake encounter to summon the barangay captains of Calatrava, Negros Occidental on December 7, 2021, invoking the Executive Order 70 and the whole-of-nation approach forcing the elected officials to cooperate with AFP’s terroristic acts.

Days before the Human Rights Day (December 10), the AFP continues to spew lies and throws mud on the NPA. The Filipino masses, who knows the whole reality, willingly avoids and accepts AFP’s cover-up stories.

The AFP, especially the 79th IBPA, are the true human rights violators. The Filipino people are increasingly wary of these uniformed personnel, presenting themselves as human rights defender but are actually human rights violators.

There is a widespread disgust among the ranks of AFP and PNP, as more human rights violations perpetrated by their colleagues but stories are showed otherwise.

We call on the patriotic uniformed personnel to genuinely serve the people, expose the terroristic acts of the Duterte regime and unite with the revolutionary forces and the NPA, whom are cherished by the masses.

The RJPC-NPA also calls on all media practitioners to conduct in-depth investigation and create genuine news articles, exposing the human rights violations of the 79th IBPA.
