Ngayong araw, itinalaga ni Duterte si Antonio Parlade Jr. bilang deputy director-general ng National Security Council (NSC) matapos ang kanyang pagreretiro sa Armed Forces of the Philippines. Muling binigyang-pabor ni Duterte ang isa na namang sagad-saring anti-mamamayang opisyal ng AFP-PNP upang konsolidahin ang hanay nito at ang nalalabing kapangyarihan ni Duterte sa poder.
