Laguna union wins election. The militant and patriotic union of the Panadero ng Philfoods Fresh Baked Product Inc-OLALIA-KMU on September 22 won the election to represent factory workers. The union won 295 of the 341 total votes against the bogus union formed by the NTF-Elcac in collusion with the company. In celebration, unionists gathered in front of the factory in Barangay Mamplasan, Biñan. The union won amid harassment and red-tagging by police and NTF-Elcac against its officials and members. Philfoods Fresh Baked Product Inc is a sister company of Gardenia Bakeries, a Malaysian company.

Collective action in Fuji Electric in Laguna. A series of collective actions inside and outside the factory were staged by the Fuji Electric Phils-OLALIA-KMU union in September to protest the company scrimp on their wages amid ongoing CBA negotiations. Management offered only ₱20-₱25 despite having not increased wages after having amassed millions in profit in the last three years.

Subic union takes action for CBA. Workers from the Samahan ng mga Manggagawang Nagkakaisa sa Umicore Specialty Chemicals Subic launched a joint action on September 16 to condemn the standstill in CBA negotiations which has lasted several months. Umicore is an American company that is estimated to earn €1,020 million (₱60.8 billion) this year.
