NPA defense kills five 11th IB soldiers
A series of active defensive actions by the New People’s Army–Southeast Negros killed five 11th IB soldiers on February 15 in Barangay Santo Niño, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental. The unit’s report said three encounters took place between 5:30 and 7 in the morning.
The NPA unit was conducting na investigation into the peasant masses’ problems in the barangay when the 11th IB launched its attack.
