Ka Juanito Magbanua, spokesperson of the Apolinario Gatmaitan Command of the New People’s Army (AGC-NPA) in Negros Island, dismissed the statement of Maj. Cenon Pancito III in a local radio program regarding the possibility of localized peace talks between the 3rd Infantry Division (ID) and the NPA.

“There are no localized peace talks with any organ of political power of the People’s Democratic Government in the entire Philippines because it certainly cannot address the roots of the civil war in the country,” said Magbanua.

Magbanua described it as a sabotage to the peace negotiations between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP).

“It’s a trap laid down by the 3rd ID to lure the revolutionaries into its milking scheme dubbed as the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP),” he said.

The AGC-NPA condemned the Duterte regime and its mass murderer officials in the military and police for peddling fake surrenderees as supporters and members of the NPA to avail of the bounties they themselves cooked up through the E-CLIP and advance their careers amidst the Covid-19 pandemic that has caused unprecedented suffering to the Filipino people.#
