Zionists widely violate Israel-Lebanon ceasefire

Israeli forces have been brazenly violating the ceasefire agreement they entered with Lebanon on November 27. By December 3, the recorded violations by Zionist forces, in the form of bombings and drone attacks, had reached 73 cases. The most recent was a bombing in South Lebanon that killed 10 people and injured five more.

Israel and Lebanon formally agreed for a ceasefire to end the 14-month Israeli attacks on Lebanon, including Israel’s a two-month aggression and attempted occupation of the southern part of the country. The U.S. pushed for the agreement after Zionist Israel failed to suppress the resistance of the Lebanese people and to undermine their support for the Palestinian people. Even the Zionists knew that the Lebanese would not back down and that their support for the Palestinians would only grow.

“After many months of sacrifice by the Lebanese people… the resistance agreed to a ceasefire with the Zionist entity. This deal was brought to the table after the Zionists were unable to achieve their objectives in Lebanon,” the International League of Peoples’ Struggles (ILPS) stated. The bombings and attacks have caused widespread damage, killing over 3,000 Lebanese and injuring more than 15,000 others. Among those killed by the Zionists was the top leader of Hezbollah, General Hassan Nasrallah.

Despite all this, the Lebanese forces remained steadfast and have now secured the space to rebuild their strength, according to the league. The duration of the ceasefire will depend on the intensity of Israel’s attacks and provocations.

“This sacrifice of the people in their fight for liberation is as much an inspiration as the fight of the Palestinian people, and the entire region shines bright in the beacon of their resistance,” the ILPS said.
