The Makabayang Samahang Pangkalusugan (MSP-Bikol) strongly supports the massive protest action and strike that the health workers plan to launch. It is rightful for the US-Duterte regime to provide, and in fact even go beyond, all the rightful demands of frontliners. Promises of benefits written in thin air are never enough. It is unacceptable for the regime to claim that there is not enough funds. The DOH and the whole Duterte government must not be allowed to escape accountability.

Napakarami nang utang na dugo ng berdugong PNP sa Masbate ngunit uhaw pa rin sila sa higit pa. Ang utos ni PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar, sa kanyang pagdalaw sa Bikol, na patindihin pa ang mga operasyong pulis sa naturang prubinsya ay nangangahulugan ng higit pang kaguluhan, pandarahas at pasakit para sa masang Masbatenyo. Wala pa man ang utak-pulburang atas na ito, nakapagtala na ng 72 kaso ng pamamaslang sa naturang prubinsya mula nang maupo sa pwesto si Duterte. Walo rin sa 11 kaso ng masaker sa rehiyon ang naganap sa Masbate. Katumbas ito ng isang Masbatenyong pinapaslang ng pwersang AFP-PNP kada buwan.
The PNP already has an insurmountable amount of blood debt in Masbate but they still thirst for more. PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar’s directive, during his visit in Bikol, to further intensify police operations in the said province means even more chaos, violence and distress for the Masbatenyo masses. Even without this trigger-happy order, 72 cases of killings were recorded in the province since the beginning of Duterte’s term. Eight out of the 11 cases of massacre in the region also happened in Masbate. This is equivalent to one Masbatenyo slain by AFP-PNP elements every month.
Walang kahit kaunting ginhawa para sa mamamayang Bikolano. Matapos bugbugin ang kanilang mga komunidad ng walang katapusang operasyong militar at pulis gaya ng madudugo, brutal at mapanlinlang na SACLEO, RCSP at FMO, heto na naman at hindi magkamayaw sa desperasyon ang rehimeng US-Duterte sa pagpapatupad ng kampanyang Revitalized Police Presence in the Barangays sa ilalim ng Intensified Cleansing Operations ng PNP. Hindi pa nasapatan ang rehimen sa mga joint interoperability operations ng PNP at AFP sa ilalim ng kanyang EO 70-Whole of Nation Approach. Sinasagad niya ang paghahari ng militarismo sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay-lisensya sa dagdag pang presensya ng mga pulis sa mga barangay.
There is no respite for the Bikolano people. After endless military and police operations, such as the bloody, brutal and treacherous SACLEO, RCSP and FMO, battered their communities, here comes the desperate US-Duterte regime with yet another campaign – the Revitalized Police Presence in the Barangays under the PNP Intensified Cleansing Operations. The regime is still not content with the PNP and AFP’s joint interoperability operations under his EO 70-Whole of Nation Approach. He pushes the military’s dominion much further by giving license to even larger police presence in the barangays.
Ang panawagan ng mga magsasaka ay ang masugpo ang kahirapan at hindi dagdag presensya ng pulis. Ang panawagan ng mga magsasaka ay mapalayas ang mga gahamang panginoong may lupa at iba pang mga dayuhang mamumuhunang dumarambong sa likas na yaman ng Masbate. Ang panawagan nila ay matapos na ang walang tigil na karahasan at terorismo na ihinahasik ng mga mersenaryong hukbo ng estado. Ang interes ng mga kapitalista, burukrata at imperyalista ay katumbas ng tiyak na kamatayan para sa mga Masbatenyo – kamatayan mula sa kagutuman at kamatayan mula sa dulo ng mga armas ng mga berdugong nagtatanggol sa mapagsamantalang paghaharing ito.
The peasantry demands an end to poverty and not the escalation of police presence and operations. They demand the elimination of avaricious landlords and foreign investors who have been stealing away the natural resources of Masbate. They call for an end to the ceaseless violence and terrorism of the state’s mercenary army. The interests of capitalists, bureaucrats and imperialists mean certain death for the Masbatenyos – death from hunger and death from the barrels of weapons by the murderers who protect this oppressive domination.
