The recycled Anti-Terrorism Bill approved by the Duterte-puppet occupied House of Representatives is an enhanced program of giving unlimited power to the despotic Rodrigo Duterte and the AFP-PNP killing machine, criminalizing anyone who is (and will be) critical to the regime. So the People may know, the core and purpose of this ANTI-TERROR bill are the following: Infringes the freedom of expression. Stops dissent. Gives full freedom to the State forces (AFP-PNP) to arrest and inflict terror. Allows a systemic, and a more oppressive capacity on the part of the State forces (AFP/PNP) to torture and assassinate activists, ordinary citizens and rebel forces. Broadens the scope of power of the military and police personnel, beyond civil and democratic rights. Capacitates state agents to conduct spying and surveillance operation on individuals and organizations under the cover of law. Disrespects human rights in all its scope.

We encourage the Filipino people to read and discern the Anti-Terror Bill (or the new Human Security Act) passed by the House of Representatives last May 29, 2020. Be critical, and be able to mobilize concrete manifestations of opposition against this bill. We remain vigilant and committed to the cause of protecting the common interest of our Filipino people.
