Anti-demolition barricade in Angeles City. Residents of Sitio Balubad, Barangay Anunas, Angeles City, set up a barricade on October 16 to fight the Clarkhills Properties Corporation’s plan to demolish their homes. The demolition will hit more than 500 homes and 2,000 residents of the 72-hectare land that the company seized.

Dumaguete City reclamation opposed. More than 200 church workers, environment activists, youth and residents along the coast of Dumaguete City gathered in Pantawan, Rizal Avenue, Barangay 5 for an “Ecumenical Walk for Creation” on October 15. They called for environmental justice and protection against destructive reclamation projects.

Human chain against reclamation. More than 600 individuals, led by Kalikasan PNE and Pamalakaya, formed a human chain along Roxas Blvd, in front of Manila Bay, to demand a stop to reclamation projects nationwide. Dredging operations in Manila Bay continue despite Marcos Jr’s orders to suspend them.
