CPI (Maoist) Central Committee continues call for justice for killing of its members

,

The Indian masses continue to call for justice for the India Modi regime’s willful killing of a Communist Party of India (Maoist) Central Committee member and 12 others, a month after their murder on November 18-19. Indian armed forces captured the 13, subjected them to torture, and willfully executed them in fake encounters.

On November 15, the military and police captured Adivasi Comrade Madvi Hidma, the CPI (Maoist) Central Committee’s youngest member and Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee secretary, in the city of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Hidma was in the city for medical treatment. With him were his wife, Comrade Rajakka, and four other members of the CPI (Maoist).

For three days, the six were subjected to intense torture and interrogation to extract information or force them to surrender to the Modi regime. Refusing to surrender, they were brought to the forests of Maredumilli in Alluri Seetharamaraju district, Andhra Pradesh, and massacred on November 18.

The Party Central Committee honored Comrade Hidma for dedicating his life to the Indian revolution and leading numerous tactical offensives and battles. He was born in 1974 to an Adivasi family in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh. He became a full-time Party member in December 1997 and rose through the ranks over the following decades. In August 2024, he was appointed Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee secretary and became a Central Committee member.

Meanwhile, Indian armed forces captured Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) State Committee member Comrade Shankar and six others on November 19. Instead of being treated as captives with their rights respected, the seven were tortured and massacred, then falsely presented as having been killed in an encounter in Rampachodavaram, Alluri Seetharamaraju, Andhra Pradesh.

The Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee’s investigation discovered that the slain comrades were arrested following the betrayal of the surrendered Party member Kosal and other individuals. Kosal fled from his PLGA unit on November 9 and actively collaborated with state forces.

The committee also denounced several surrendered individuals who are actively collaborating with the Modi regime and spreading malicious claims that certain CPI (Maoist) leaders ordered the killing of Comrade Hidma. According to their fabrications, the Party supposedly killed the comrades for allegedly planning to surrender to the Modi regime. The committee belied this.

To achieve justice for the massacre of the 13, the committee called on the people to launch a nationwide mass movement to demand a judicial inquiry into the massacres in Maredumilli and Rampachodavaram. “To punish the culprits and stop the ongoing Operation Kagar for the corporates,” the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee spokesperson Vikalp said.

Vikalp said the Party will continue its efforts to defeat Operation Kagar, which harms and kills individuals from the Party’s Central Committee down to ordinary citizens. “In this situation, it is the duty of all of us to fight against the operation Kagar under the leadership of our party and to stand firm in the revolutionary movement for the realization of the aspirations of the martyrs,” he declared.
