Modi regime willfully kills two CPI (Maoist) Central Committee members

,

Modi regime armed forces secretly detained for more than 10 days two Communist Party of India (Maoist) Central Committee members then willfully killed them on September 22. The Modi regime then presented their deaths as a result of an encounter in Abujhmad to conceal the crime and evade culpability.

The Indian armed forces reportedly captured Comrade Katta Ramachandra Reddy (Raju Dada) and Comrade Kadari Satyanarayana Reddy (Kosa Dada), both unarmed, in Raipur City in the state of Chhattisgarh on September 10. They were reportedly brought and held ina secret location from September 11 to September 20, where they were possibly subjected to severe torture then killed.

Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee representative Vikalp’s statement said the two revolutionary leaders were not combatants because the CPI (Maoist) assigned them with other tasks 10 months earlier. The last update they received about the two was on September 10. “The encounter is false. Everyone must condemn this,” Vikalp said.

The CPI (Maoist) honored its two leaders who gave their lives for the Indian revolution. Vikalp said the party suffered a great loss from their martyrdom. However, he declared that “they will fight to the end to achieve the cause for which their comrades gave their lives.”

Aside from the two, the deliberate killing of five other CPI (Maoist) Central Committee leaders and members and its Eastern Regional Bureau (ERB) members was also recorded in the past month. All were also portrayed as having been killed in encounters, a claim refuted by the CPI (Maoist) regional unit.

In connection with this and as a call for justice, the CPI (Maoist) ERB will launch a one-day Bandh (strike) on October 15 in Bihar-Jharkhand, North Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and Assam against the state forces’ brutal repression and Operation Kagar.
