Gabriela criticized the US-Marcos regime for admonishing the people to “calm down” and “avoid using violence” amid the government’s blatant corruption and anomalies.

According to the group, Marcos Jr has no moral authority to call for “calm” since he is the country’s biggest “OG nepo baby” or an original offspring of public money plunderers.

“Marcos Jr has the nerve to speak of ‘due process’ when he gained his position as president not through merit but through the wealth plundered by his family,” Gabriela secretary general Clarice Palce explained.

“The Filipino people have the right to be furious and to protest against the continuing theft of public funds for flood control projects that could have saved lives,” Palce added.

The group explained that while ordinary people suffer from flooding caused by anomalous infrastructure projects, corrupt officials and their cronies pocket the billions that should have gone to these projects.

“The Filipino’s outrage is not wrong—what is wrong is the system that enriches corrupt officials while the poor drown in floods and poverty!” Palce declared.
