The New People’s Army (NPA) in Negros, in a statement, denounced Col. Inocencio Pasaporte’s theatrics saying that the entire membership of the NPA to not hope for mercy from the mercenary military and police.

“Pasaporte and other military officials follow all orders from their master Duterte, as a matter of fact, prior to Pasaporte’s statement they have been merciless for a long time,” commented Ka Juanito Magbanua, Apolinario Gatmaitan Command-NPA Negros spokesperson.

Pasaporte, 303rd Brigade Commander of the Philippine Army, stated while visiting the headquarters of the 79th Infantry Battalion in Sagay City, Negros Occidental early this month, that no mercy will be given to NPA members who continue their armed revolution and “criminal activities.”

“As a butcher and mercenary military, [the AFP] is an instrument of the ruling class to destroy the revolutionary movement and preserve the oppressive and exploitative system ruled by the big compradors, big landlords and their US imperialist master,” Magbanua remarked.

According to the NPA spokesman, the real terrorist is the AFP/PNP who spreads terror and violates human rights and not the NPA.

He pointed out the Sagay 9 massacre, thousands of extrajudicial killings, bombings, 20 innocent victims killed in Oplan Sauron 1 and 2 and others imprisoned based on planted evidences and trumped-up charges that cannot be denied was perpetrated by state forces.

Magbanua said that despite the threats of the butcher and mercenary official, the NPA and the whole revolutionary movement will resolutely continue its tasks for the interest of the people.

“[The NPA] will carry on developing its armed strength through expanding its ranks and mounting tactical offensives it can surely win, strengthening its mass base and clandestine organizations as foundation of the organs of political power and pursuing other revolutionary work such as guiding and pushing for anti-feudal struggles of peasants and farm workers to improve their economic situation,” he said.

He further said that the armed struggle waged mainly by the NPA has a tremendous purpose of emancipating the broad masses especially the workers and peasants that will certainly be victorious because it is supported by the people.

The NPA will be celebrating its 51 years of achieving great strides for the Philippine revolutionary movement under the absolute leadership of the Communist Party of the Philippines this March 29, 2020.###
