The Philippine Revolution Web Central (https://philippinerevolution.nu/), the official digital portal of the Communist Party of the Philippines, has been under a relentless and large-scale Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack since 6:15 p.m. yesterday, April 22.

We hold the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the National Task Force-Elcac as directly responsible for this information sabotage. Likely aided by the cyber-warfare units of the US military, they are the only agencies capable and motivated to carry out attacks of such scale.

The attack was carried out at the precise time that the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is being exposed for the recent carnage perpetrated by the 79th Infantry Battalion in Toboso, Negros Occidental last April 19.

The claims of military officers that 19 Red fighters of the New People’s Army were killed in a firefight are being exposed as a blatant lie. Independent investigations have revealed that civilians, including a reknowned community journalist, a prominent student leader, peasant organizers, and local residents were among the victims of the massacre.

Alongside this attack, our social media channels are being bombarded by coordinated troll networks spewing vitriol to drown out voices critical of the military. The same troll networks can also be observed attacking social media pages and accounts of progressive groups and individuals, as well as friends and families of the victims of the Toboso massacre.
