Recently, #DiMasaligan79IB’s fake news mill fabricated a story about an imaginary ranking cadre of Roselyn Jea Pelle COmmand-New Peple’s Army (RJPC-NPA), identified as “Ka Pinky”, apprehended shortly after their simulated raid of non-existing NPA camp in Barangay Bandila, Toboso, Negros Occidental last Friday (December 13).

A 58 year-old self-employed mother was arrested in her residence in Sitio Malig-on on the said barangay is not near the “encounter” site as alleged by #DiMasaligan79IB PR jacklegs and quoted by the news media earlier.

RJPC-NPA investigation identified the arrestee as Melba Gabriel. She was a former member of the NPA, and has long left the revolutionary movement and focused on her family.

Hoodwinked to believe that in doing so, the military would leave her alone, she went to the Toboso police station along with her family and some barangay officials to “clear” her name.

It’s shameless and despicable for #DiMasaligan79IB to parade her as “key leader” of Northern Negros Front when in fact she is no longer connected to the revolutionary movement and has been living as a plain civilian for years and struggling to survive by way of small vending enterprise. It only showed the high degree of desperation of #DiMasaligan to project an image of victory amid the crashing failure of of its campaign to decisively defeat the revolutionary movement and to show off accomplishment albeit sham to their fascist chieftain Marcos Jr.

Gabriel got the ire of #DiMasaligan79IB for her flat refusal to become a military intel asset. For this, she paid the price of being the pawn of #DiMasaligan79IB in their grand propaganda show and theatrics.

This incident taught us a very valuable lesson. Under the present social order, you cannot live a normal life. It’s either you persist on fighting for the people or cooperate with the oppressors. There is no in-between. Gabriel’s illusion of living a normal life without cooperating with the fascists was shattered to pieces and laid bare the essence of class oppression.
