CPP 56th anniversary celebrated in South Quezon Bondoc Peninsula
The New People’s Army (NPA)-Quezon (Apolonio Mendoza Command) conducted a simple, but significant celebration of the 56th anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines. They launched a “kapehan” style (tete-a-tete over coffee) commemoration in a South Quezon-Bondoc Peninsula (SQBP) front.
They honored the past year’s Quezon martyrs in the program. Visiting attendees from allied organizations of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) such as Kabataang Makabayan and Artista at Manunulat para sa Sambayanan expressed their solidarity.
Prior to the kapehan, the Red Army collectively read and studied the Central Committee’s statement and the Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee Secretariat’s message on the Party’s anniversary. The statements and messages affirmed the call to Rectify and Advance! mirroring the theme of the kapehan.
The celebration included simple food, sharing of past year’s experiences, embroidery, drawing, singing, and readings from some Marxist-Leninist-Maoist books.
