Kabataang Makabayan (KM)-Pampanga members reaffirmed their commitment and loyalty to the organization during a ceremonial oath-taking with the KM flag held in October. This event took place on an undisclosed farm in the province, as reported in a special issue of Kalayaan published by KM-Central Luzon.

KM-Pampanga members collectively prepared the flag used in the oath-taking. They painted the golden triangle and the KM symbol, similar to that of the Katipunan, on a red cloth. “[The flag] symbolizes the golden duty of KM to arrouse, organize, and mobilize the youth for the Democratic People’s Revolution,” the publication stated.

They also confirmed their wholehearted commitment for KM’s line, programs, and policies, advancing the revolutionary youth-student movement in the province, contributing to armed struggle, and striving for national democratic revolution until complete victory is achieved.

The youth also reportedly participated in collective farming activities. The chapter organized this to immerse the youth with the toiling masses’ issues and urge them to regularly participate in production and social practice outside their universities.

KM-Pampanga shared the chapter’s reorganization over recent months to address ideological, political, and organizational weaknesses. The chapter also announced its efforts to rectify, in line with the rectification movement called for by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Philippines in December 2023.
