The New People’s Army-West Camarines Sur (Norben Gruta Command or NGC) successfully blasted a command detonated explosive (CDX) at the CAFGU detachment in Barangay Mabini, Del Gallego town on the evening of October 25.

NGC spokesperson Ka Michael Robredo said the military action was part of the punishment for human rights abuses committed by CAFGU elements under the 81st IB against the peasant masses.

Ka Michael said that the series of punitive actions and military operations in western Camarines Sur is a testament to the readiness and determination of the Red commanders and fighters to defend the interests of the oppressed and exploited citizens from the hands of the mercenary AFP-PNP-CAFGU.

The NPA team that carried out the operation safely maneuvered out of the area.
