NPA metes out revolutionary justice to military assets in Negros and Masbate
The NPA-Masbate (Jose Raping Command) reported its implementation of revolutionary justice on September 10 to a CAFGU active member CAA Rodel Monsalod in Barangay Cadulawan, Cataingan. Ka Luz del Mar, spokesperson of the unit, said “[this is] part of NPA-Masbate’s continuous response to the grievances of Masbatenyo people.”
Monsalod served as an active guide in the 2nd IB’s brutal operations and campaign of killing civilians. He also served as one of Masbate Gov. Antonio Kho’s active mercenary thugs in evicting farmers in lands grabbed by the Kho family in Cataingan. He is a member of the 2nd IB which is based in Barangay Estampar. This unit is notorious for its crimes especially among the Masbate third district residents.
In Negros Oriental, the NPA-Central Negros (Leonardo Panaligan Command) sentenced Jonil Sevilla, an active military intelligence asset from Sityo Kabulay, Barangay Trinidad, Guihulngan City on August 30, in accordance with the decision of the relevant organs of the people’s democratic government. The armed action was carried out in Sityo Cambairan in the same barangay.
The careful and thorough investigation of the NPA-Central Negros proved Sevilla’s major role in the raid on a unit of the people’s army in Sityo Gusa, Barangay Budlasan, Canlaon City on August 2. He was also involved in the raid on another unit of the NPA in Sityo Amomoyong, Barangay Trinidad, Guihulngan City in 2023 which resulted in the death of four Red fighters.
“The implementation of the death penalty on Sevilla is proof of the implementation of revolutionary justice for the good of all,” Ka Kanor Alpeche, second spokesperson of the NPA-Central Negros, said. Revolutionary justice will ultimately reach all those who have committed crimes against the people, he said.
“The [NPA] will continue to launch tactical offensives to punish the AFP-PNP-CAFGU for their terrorist crimes,” said Ka Luz. The NPA-Masbate calls on the masses of farmers and the people to strengthen their unity and strengthen their resistance to frustrate any treacherous retaliatory attack of the AFP against civilians in the community.
