End political accommodation, push Marcos to hold Dutertes liable for corruption and crimes

,

Sara Duterte launched a verbal barrage yesterday against Marcos in a desperate attempt to deflect attention away from her mounting criminal liabilities stemming from the outright misuse of hundreds of millions of pesos of public funds. She is making it appear that investigations into corruption and plunder against her are “politically motivated” in an attempt to justify her brazen refusal to be placed under oath and be confronted with damning evidence.

Her outbursts form part of a coordinated ploy of the Dutertes. Days earlier, Duterte ally in the Senate, Bato dela Rosa declared plans to conduct his own investigation into the extrajudicial killings, in which he and co-senator Bong Go, are themselves accused of being principal cohorts with Rodrigo Duterte himself. It would have been a tragicomical spectacle, had not a number of senators voiced opposition to being a party to such a farce.

The noise being created by the Dutertes aims to distract the Filipino people who are demanding that they be made to pay for their crimes. The anomalies being exposed before a congressional hearing are more than enough to start impeachment proceedings and file plunder and corruption charges against Sara Duterte.

The criminal secrets behind Duterte’s sham drug war are being spilled by Duterte operator and former police officer Royina Garma also add fuel to the mounting clamor for Rodrigo Duterte and his accomplices to be prosecuted for crimes against humanity, having masterminded the widespread and systematic campaign of extrajudicial killings.

The Filipino people denounce the Marcos regime for shamelessly accommodating the Dutertes and deliberately stalling efforts to bring Duterte before the International Criminal Court. Marcos is displaying blatant disregard for the people’s clamor for justice. It appears Marcos is unwilling to hold Duterte accountable, fearing that the same fate might befall him and his family, again.
