Tribute to the heroes of Negros and ICR!

Revolutionary forces nationwide held weapons salute and raised their fists for the martyrs of the New People’s Army (BHB) who died this May.

In Negros Occidental, five NPASouthwest Negros (Armando Sumayang Jr Command) Red warriors were killed in combat with the 15th IB in Barangay Abaca, Cauayan on May 16. Those killed were front Party committee secretary Vince Francis Dingding (Ka Poy/Moymoy); NPASouthwest Negros commander Rolando Dantes Jr. (Ka Anyo); Jobert Casipong (Ka Robi); Gilbert Tingson (Ka Kolintong/Ka Downy); and Alex Languita (Ka Kaya).

In the IlocosCordillera region, Red warrior Inocencio Sibud (Ka Maki) died of cancer on May 14. Sibud was first recruited as a member of the people’s militia unit in Barangay Bayao, Pinukpuk, Kalinga in the 1980s. He continued his revolutionary duties and took on various responsibilities for 37 years of service in the NPA.

The Party gave the martyrs of the people’s army its highest recognition and honor, calling them “the finest sons and daughters of the people.”
