NPA-Camarines Norte condemns betrayal by ex-NPA officers couple

,

The New People’s Army (NPA)-Camarines Norte strongly condemned the surrender and outright betrayal of the masses by former officials Marlon Asis (alias Pots) and Julie Grace Lola (alias Haraly). The 42nd IB presented the two before the public as “surrenderers” on February 4 at the battalion headquarters in Labo, Camarines Norte.

The 42nd IB statement claimed the couple turned over a .30-caliber and a 60-caliber machine gun, ammunition, explosives, and other military equipment. “They betrayed the peasant masses and working people in the province in exchange for their selfish interests,” the NPA-Camarines Norte said.

Aside from surrendering weapons and equipment, the NPA said the couple had committed several other crimes. It said that the two had already caused harm even before the end of 2025 and betrayed comrades while pretending to remain in good standing within the movement.

During that period, the couple gathered intelligence later used against the revolutionary movement and the working masses. Their actions led to successive battles that caused losses to both NPA units and civilians. The couple also stole Communist Party of the Philippines funds.

According to the unit, the couple’s betrayal of revolutionary personnel,NPA armory exposure, and Party funds theft are serious crimes. “Their incitement and deceit of the masses must be opposed and never tolerated,” the unit said.

Under the current direction of the 42nd IB, the couple now spreads black propaganda and lies, and actively takes part in combat operations against NPA units. “Their treachery is presently fully utilized by the fascist enemy … but they will sooner or later be discarded like a filthy rag,” the NPA-Camarines Norte declared.

The couple’s betrayal deeply outraged coconut farmers, abaca growers, and Manide indigenous people. The people in anger declared them “persona non grata” in guerrilla zones and areas under the revolutionary movement in Camarines Norte.

The NPA-Camarines Norte remains determined to regain strength despite their betrayal. “The protracted people’s war that the working classes in the countryside have learned to embrace will never be defeated,” it said.
