CPP and NPA-FSMR launch political study amid military operations
More than 20 Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) members and New People’s Army (NPA) Red fighters completed a political study in a guerrilla front in the Far South Mindanao Region (FSMR) in April. They carried this out amid relentless focused military operations of the fascist 37th IB and 57th IB in the area.
The Party committee outlined the studies based on the unit’s needs and in line with the Pambansang Demokratikong Paaralan (PADEPA, or National Democratic School) curriculum. They divided the students into two groups to match the conditions and the unit’s capabilities.
According to the committee, raising the ideological and political level of Party members and fighters also fulfills the rectification movement. The Party’s Central Committee launched the rectification movement in December 2023, which is primarily a study movement.
The students openly shared their own experiences, shortcomings, and weaknesses in their work throughout the course of the studies. They discussed and analyzed these to seek for corrections to advance their tasks.
The committee noted the comrades’ very apparent determination to contribute to the rectification movement after the study. The unit prepared itself to move to a higher level of struggle to keep pace with national advances.
The Party committee and the NPA unit thanked the peasant masses for their role in supporting the activity.
