Israel's single-day mass killing in Gaza draws wide condemnation

,

Zionist Israel’s brutal violation of the ceasefire with Hamas, and its mass killing in Gaza on March 18, drew widespread condemnation. Due to the severity of the crime, countries in the Middle East and Latin America, and even pro-Zionist governments in Europe, expressed condemnation.

Within just 24 hours on this day, Israel’s bombings of populated areas in Gaza killed no less than 404 Palestinians and injured 562. At least 174 of them were children. This day is now known as one of the deadly days in the history of Zionist Israel’s brutal occupation of Palestinian lands. Along with the bombing, Israel once again blocked the entry of humanitarian aid to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who have long been suffering severe hunger and health crisis.

Using US-supplied bombs and planes, Israel carried out intense and widespread bombing from the morning of March 18, while many Palestinians were just waking up. Fighter planes and drones targeted residential areas. Entire families were massacred.

The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that Israel’s accelerated genocide since 2023 killed more than 61,700, including 17,500 missing and presumed dead. More than 110,000 citizens have suffered bodily injuries.

Those who condemned Israel’s latest brutality in Gaza included the Communist Party of the Philippines.

“Israel’s breach of the ceasefire and its widespread killing in Gaza are a continuation of the Zionist state’s long standing policy of driving the Palestinian people from their own land, and suppressing their right to self-determination,” CPP information officer Marco Valbuena said.

The US fully supports the attacks. The US Trump government said that Israel sought permission for the bombing on March 18. Just recently, Trump authorized resuming the delivery of more than $3 billion worth of bombs, missiles and other weapons purchased by Israel.

Before March 18, the US had already undermined the ceasefire when Trump supported Israel’s non-negotiable condition for Hamas to release all hostages, which was contrary to the agreed phases of the ceasefire. Trump had previously stated that he wanted to “own” Gaza, a reminder of the US’s real aim to control the Middle East and seize its resources.

Accordingly, Trump also accelerated its bombing of Yemen, which has long been carrying out actions in support of the Palestinian people.
