Red fighters of the New People’s Army (NPA)-Central Negros (Leonardo Panaligan Command) killed Gamay Taganeli, a fascist butcher and murderer, and Jovanie Dela Cruz, intelligence agent of the 62nd IB, in an armed action in Crossing Bon-bon, Barangay Hinakpan Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental last March 20. The armed action against the counter-revolutionaries was carried out at the midst of the focus military operation of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in the city.

Taganeli was involved in the killing of Egling Carreon in Sityo Bonbon in the same city in 2023. Meanwhile, de la Cruz is a notorious thief in their community and an active intelligence agent of the 62nd IB. He regularly reports to the 62nd IB in Barangay Hinakpan-Guihulngan Patrol Base and battalion headquarters in Barangay Libas, Isabela, Negros Occidental.

The masses in the area rejoiced because revolutionary justice has been served, especially for the victims of the two. The NPA-Central Negros thanked the masses of Guihulngan City for their help and support in carrying out the armed action.
