NPA punishes traitor turned military asset in Masbate

The New People’s Army-Masbate (Jose Rapsing Command) announced its punishment of Jay-R Avalle, traitor to the people of Masbate and the revolutionary movement. He was sentenced to death on August 30 in Barangay Baras, Esperanza, in line with the decision of the concerned organs of the democratic people’s government.

“Avalle betrayed his fellow Masbatenyos when he had himself employed by the military as an active asset, guiding the operation and openly endangering the masses, especially in the communities he scouted when he was still an NPA member,” Luz del Mar, NPA-Masbate spokesperson, said. “Avalle is an active CAFGU member and was among those who led the violence and ravaging of the farmers of Hacienda Mortuegue-Larrazabal that covers the towns of Esperanza and Pio V. Corpuz.”

Avalle was a former NPA-Masbate member. The military used him in the attempt to “make the masses doubt the people’s army, break the masses’ mutual trust and eventually alienate the masses from their revolutionary movement,” Del Mar said. Punishing him is justice for the victims of military abuse and terrorism.

The NPA-Masbate has warned other would-be traitors like Avalle.

“You still have a chance to leave your chosen path before it’s too late,” Del Mar said. They should have known that being used by the AFP-PNP-CAFGU is tantamount to committing suicide.

“When traitors are no longer useful for the enemy, they will certainly be thrown with the trash,” he said.
