Condemn execution of activists in Myanmar

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) condemns the Myanmar junta for the execution last Monday of four activists, including known figures in the protest movement since the military coup early last year.

According to reports, the junta carried out the execution of Kyaw Min Yu, 53, Phyo Zeya Thaw, a 41, Hla Myo Aung and Aung Thura Zaw. They were accused of helping armed guerrilla fighters which have been fighting the brutal military dictatorship.

The CPP and the revolutionary forces in the Philippines are one with the people of Myanmar as they continue to gather courage and strength in waging all forms of struggle, especially revolutionary armed resistance to overthrow the fascist regime.
