The Mount Cansermon Command of the New People’s Army South Central Negros Front (MCC-NPA) strongly condemned the house-to-house visits of the 94th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army together with Gary “Dodong” Mahinay and Louie “Berber” Redoble in sitios Tiki, Bagtik, Malagapas and Kalangkang of Barangay Buenavista, Himamaylan City to force farmers to surrender as members of the NPA.

Ka Dionesio Magbuelas, MCC-NPA spokesperson, also mentioned in the statement today the implementation of the death penalty against an aggressive intelligence asset of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines, Roel “Pedong” Ganti, at Sitio Atubon, Barangay Tan-awan, Kabankalan City last August 23, 9:00 in the evening.

According to Magbuelas, the people lauds the punishment of Ganti who operated in the areas of Kabankalan City, Cauayan and Candoni dealing illegal firearms and threatening and coercing people he suspected as NPA supporters to surrender.

He said that Ganti was “warned several times against helping the military and police” before the revolutionary court imposed the capital punishment.

Moreover, he clarified that the MCC-NPA had absolutely nothing to do with the killing of a certain “Benaluga” at Sitio Malagapas, Barangay Tan-awan, Kabankalan City on August 24 as he did not commit any violation against the people and the revolutionary movement.###
