Regarding Badoy’s visit to Bikol: NTF-ELCAC, fascist machinery and part of attempt to preserve Duterte’s tyranny

Read in: Pilipino

It is election time once more. Bureaucrat capitalists who have been slumbering away are once again out of their holes to shove empty promises and declarations down the public’s throats. Leading them all is the Duterte faction – from the spread of thousands of troll farms on social media to the use of all civilian agencies just to sell the dictator. The region have seen Duterte’s stooges like NSA Adviser Hermogenes Esperon, DOTr Sec. Arthur Tugade, PNP Chief Eleazar, and now, NTF-ELCAC Spokesperson Lorraine Badoy begin with their visits and muscle flexing. All with one intent: try to change the public’s opinion on Duterte’s war against the people, buy the loyalties of their political allies and peddle the victory of tyranny for the upcoming elections.

The people knows that the NTF-ELCAC and all its local counterparts were established to serve Duterte’s tyranny. Hundreds of billions of funds have been secured for these machineries not just to guarantee its capacity for unparalleled fascism but to stand as a fount of corruption for Duterte, his fanatical military officers and political pets. These do not differ from DOH, DENR and other agencies ran by Duterte’s most devoted minions according to his self interests. Billions of funds that have been marked missing, anomalously used and were corrupted from these agencies went to Duterte and his cronies’ pockets. With the budget deliberations currently happening, these agencies fall head over heels for their own chunks of corruption funds.

For the next year, NTF is campaigning for an additional P47 billion for its Barangay Development Program (BDP). In its first year, the government already wasted P16.4 billion from the public coffers. They dangle this stunning amount in exchange for the loyalties of local government officials and bureacrat capitalists in Bikol and the whole country.

But more than the people’s money, it is the people’s lives and welfare that is at stake in the collaboration of NTF-ELCAC and the politicians who tout Duterte’s tyranny. Poverty remains rampant in Bikol because the regime only focused on projects that stand as corruption wells and further capitalists’ interests. The farmers have no land to till, their products are sold cheaply while the price of farm inputs continue to skyrocket. Workers’ wages do not increase and the number of unemployed and underemployed rapidly multiplies. The Bikolano masses’ pockets are already burnt through with the surge of prices of commodities, utilities and other services which should have been free for the people. Worst of all, they are ceaselessly abused, killed and massacred.

NTF-ELCAC and the Duterte faction must not be allowed to brazenly malign and deceive the Bikolano masses and the whole nation. They must not be permitted to use the hard-earned money from the public’s blood and sweat to fund their personal interests and to further exploit the people themselves. They should also not be allowed to insolently sell Duterte’s tyranny as solution to the masses’ demands. Clearly, Duterte’s total war against the people and whole of nation approach brought nothing but the military’s dominion and unmatched oppression, chaos and violence.
