Makibaka establishes Central Negros chapter
Women of Central Negros established the local chapter of Makabayang Kilusan ng Bagong Kababaihan (Makibaka) on June 12. They held the gathering within a guerrilla zone area amid intense military operations.
Makibaka-Central Negros spokesperson Ka Inday Gemodo introduced herself in honor and tribute to NPA-Central Negros Red fighter Juliana Arculo Gemodo, 63, who was martyred in January. The NPA rendered a 21-gun salute for Gemodo and other martyrs. They also offered songs and speeches. Women of Central Negros pledged to persevere and traverse Gemodo’s path as a revolutionary.
