Salinlahi Alliance for Children’s Concerns condemned the NTF-Elcac for accusing that organizations raising the youth’s awareness about social issues engage in so-called “corruption of the mind” and “terror grooming.”

“NTF-Elcac is mistaken in assuming that it can deceive the people, especially the youth, with these fascist lines,” explained Salinlahi.

According to the group, every child has the right to know the social issues that directly affect them. Every child also has the right to become part of youth organizations as a channel for their initiative, and they have the right to participate in cultural and socio-civic activities in their community.

“All of these are fundamental rights of a child for their development and not terrorism. Labeling children who assert their rights and those of others as terrorists is itself a violation of their human rights,” the group said.

“That is why children and child rights advocates nationwide call: Abolish NTF-Elcac!” it urged.
