47th IB deliberately kills 2 hors de combat in Negros Oriental
Spouses Pedro Gemodo, 61, and Juliana Arculo Gemodo, 63, both Red fighters, were already wounded when 47th IB soldiers accosted them in Sitio Agpapataw, Barangay Binobohan, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental on January 31. Instead of treating them as prisoners of war and providing first aid in respect of their rights, the soldiers deliberately killed the two.
The Gemados were wounded when soldiers of the 47th IB fired at their hut in Sitio Agpapataw. They maneuvered away from the scene of the incident but were eventually overtaken by the butchers.
The NPA-Central Negros (Leonardo Panaligan Command) honored the two for laying their lives for the Negrosanon masses.
