NPA-Northern Samar armed actions
The New People’s Army (NPA)-Northern Samar (Rodante Urtal Command) reported some of its units’ armed actions against the 19th IB in December 2025. No less than three 19th IB soldiers were killed, with others wounded in action.
An NPA unit ambushed 19th IB troopers on December 15, 2025 in Barangay Poponton, Las Navas. Earlier, the NPA-Northern Samar foiled the 19th IB’s raid on the Red army camp in Barangay Gusaran, Silvino Lobos on December 10, 2025. One Red fighter died in the raid.
Meanwhile, it also reported active defense against a 37-strong 19th IB unit that tried to attack the NPA encampment on July 22, 2025 in Barangay L. Empon, Las Navas. No less than four 19th IB troopers died while the NPA unit had no casualties.
