National-democratic groups support Venezuela and Palestine
National-demoocratic groups marched to the US embassy in Manila on February 6 to mark the International Day of Action for Venezuela and Palestine. The protest demanded accountability from the imperialist US for its aggression against Venezuela and for the genocide it and Zionist Israel are committing in Palestine. They carried the call: “US, Number One Terrorist!” and “Stop the US War Machine!”
Meanwhile, progressive student groups in Panay protested on February 4 to mark the anniversary of the outbreak of the Filipino-American War in 1899. They condemned the continuing US intervention in the Philippines through lopsided treaties and the persistent presence of US military forces in the country.
