The US imperialists and the Zionist state of Israel have been relentlessly bombing Iran for more than a month. The mad fascist criminal US president Donald Trump has failed in his declared aim to subjugate Iran and make it surrender its oil to US imperialist control.

The US and Israel have dropped more than 16,000 bombs on Iran. They have targeted Iran’s military infrastructure but also targetted government and commercial buildings, homes, schools and universities, hospitals, laboratories, bridges, factories, energy and nuclear plants, water facilities, historical sites, and other civilian infrastructure. More than 2,400 Iranians have been killed, including hundreds of children, and over 25,000 wounded. Around 3 million have been displaced from their homes.

Iran is firmly resisting the unrelenting military aggression of the US and Israel. Despite extensive destruction, Iran continues to shoot down modern US fighter planes, and launch missiles and drones that strike Israel’s facilities and buildings, as well as US military bases and offices of American companies in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. It controls the Strait of Hormuz, the strategic passage for 20% of the world’s oil trade, to pressure the global economy and compel the US and Israel to end their war against Iran.

Iran’s refusal to bow down and surrender frustrates the US imperialist aim to impose its hegemony on Middle East. Trump failed to gain the support of its NATO allies. The US and Israel are now extremely isolated worldwide. The conflict among imperialists has deepened. Financial oligarchs and monopoly capitalists are amassing huge profits from the war through arms sales, speculation and surging oil prices, and a strengthened US dollar. This war is inflicting grave crisis and suffering on peoples worldwide.

In the US itself, the American people are opposing the war of aggression in Iran. More than eight million joined recent protests denouncing Trump. He has successively dismissed military generals, some reportedly opposed to assault against Iran. The fascist Trump is descending deeper into madness. Having failed to subdue Iran and impose his will, Trump has resorted to vulgar language and threats to rain bombs on Iran and blow up its bridges and energy plants—acts that are blatant crimes against humanity.

As US imperialism unleashes its brutal military power trampling on Iran’s national sovereignty—and earlier, that of Venezuela, as well as Cuba, Palestine, and other nations—the entire Filipino people must stand and act against US imperialist warmongering that tramples the rights of nations asserting freedom from imperialist domination and control. Unite the broadest ranks of the people against US imperialist war. Expose the lies and disinformation spread by US imperialism and the puppet Marcos regime.

The Filipino people must vigorously condemn US imperialism and the Zionist state of Israel for violating the sovereignty of independent nations and for seizing Iran’s oil wealth. Support and unite with the Iranian people in their fight against US imperialist military aggression. Hold the fascist madman Trump and his officials accountable for their crimes against humanity in the relentless bombing of civilians. The Filipino people must also denounce the Zionist state of Israel for its bombings and military invasion of Lebanon, its forced eviction of one million Lebanese from their homes and lands, and its continuing bombing of Gaza Strip despite the existence of a ceasefire.

Condemn US imperialism and oppose its non-stop war preparations and provocations. The US is continuously expanding its military presence in the Asia-Pacific, alongside provocations and pressure against China, in collusion with Japan and other countries. The US uses its military bases in the Philippines, Japan, and South Korea to position and strengthen its forces in the seas surrounding China. Trump keeps pouring funds into the military, planning to raise its budget from $1 trillion to $1.5 trillion next year.

The solidarity of the Filipino people with the struggle against the US imperialist war in Iran, Venezuela, and other nations is also a fight for Philippine national sovereignty and security. The Filipino people must denounce the puppet Marcos regime for its refusal to condemn the US and the Zionist state of Israel for their war of aggression against Iran.

As the US used its military bases across the Middle East to launch its invasion of Iran, so will it surely use its bases in the Philippines to conduct future military interventions and aggression in the Asia-Pacific. Therefore, amplify the call to dismantle US bases and secret military facilities in the country, oppose the permanent presence of thousands of American troops, the deployment of missiles and other weapons, and the planned construction of arms factories and related facilities. The people must resolutely oppose the planned Balikatan war exercises set to commence this April, that aims to project US military power against China.

Amid the deepening crisis of the global capitalist system, more armed conflicts are bound to soon break out. It is thus vital to build international anti-imperialist solidarity of peoples to resist US imperialist war and advance the revolutionary struggles for national liberation, democracy, and socialism.
