Iran suspends peace negotiations with US

,

Iran announced on June 1 that it has suspended its participation in peace negotiations with the US related to the war. This followed the attack and bombing by Zionist Israel in Lebanon, a blatant violation of the ceasefire framework. In response, Iran will again fully close the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Iran, “a violation in one arena is a violation of the ceasefire in all arenas.” Zionist Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself announced on May 31 that he ordered his military to expand and intensify military operations and maneuvers in Lebanon. Its successive bombings killed and wounded many civilians in Lebanon.

After the negotiations stalled, the US attacked Qeshm Island in Iran on June 3, claiming it destroyed the country’s missiles and drones. The US labeled this as an act of “self-defense.” Iran retaliated by attacking US bases and facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain.

The US imposed a new wave of layered sanctions on Iran on May 28.
