US-Israel kills children and infants in Gaza through mass starvation
Dozens of children and infants have died in Gaza from starvation in one of the “most brutal genocides” in human history. In recent weeks, the Gaza Health Ministry reported that no less than 127 Palestinians have died from hunger, mostly children, since October 2023. Even more are on the brink of death as the US and Israel occupy the entire Gaza Strip.
The number of deaths has increased because of the lack of food since the US and Israel completely banned the entry of humanitarian aid in March. Within just 24 hours on July 23, 15 reportedly died from starvation. Four of them were children, including a 6-week-old infant and a 13-year-old boy. Both died inside medical facilities.
Pictures and videos reveal still more children and infants, reduced to skin and bones by the lack of food and malnutrition. More are dying from various diseases because their bodies have been severely weakened by nearly two years without adequate food, bombings, and the brutal occupation by Zionist Israel.
The aid banned by Israel included infant formula, essential medicine, and other necessities for the children to survive. Those who tried to bring supplies for them, including flotillas or ships from Europe, were blocked, arrested, and deported by US-Israel.
Alongside starving the Palestinians, there has also been blatant killing at the “aid centers” run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a US-Israeli group granted exclusive authority by Israel to distribute aid. The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights reported that as many as 766 Palestinians have been shot and killed by Israeli soldiers while waiting in line for aid since GHF began operations on May 27. The UN and other international institutions have called the GHF’s only four aid centers “human slaughterhouses,” condemning the lack of system, the shadowy management, and the organization’s lack of neutrality.
Israel and the US currently control 88% of Gaza. Gaza Health Ministry data shows that US-Israel bombs and bullets have directly killed 59,733 Palestinians from October 2023 to July 26 this year. A total of 144,477 Palestinians have also been wounded. Majority of the victims are children and women.
