As the nation celebrates Gat Andres Bonifacio’s day, the Filipino people commemorates his and his fellow heroes’ great contributions, even at the cost of their lives, in the name of liberty. Their invaluable contributions will never be forgotten. More than being a beacon, the uprising that they started serves as a challenge to the current generation.

Supremo’s tale dares everyone to heed the people’s call and fulfilll their duties as children of the nation. In the wake of persistent invasion and domination by the local ruling few and foreign powers, it is every Filipino’s duty to take to heart the highest form of love – the love for the Motherland and their fellow oppressed and exploited.

It must be remembered that the blood that flows in every vein of this generation of Filipinos is the blood of heroes. The continuing spirit of valor and selflessness is in every fiber of the present Filipinos’ beings and soul. The people must rightly maintain the decisiveness to defend and protect the interests of their own nation.

There will be no one else to bear the torch of uprising other than the Bonifacios of present times – the youth, women, peasants, workers, professionals and other oppressed sectors. NDF-Bikol calls on to all who loves their fellowmen and the Motherland to join the new democratic revolution and continue the fight for genuine freedom.
