Zionist Israel continuously violates ceasefire agreement in Lebanon

,

The Lebanon government strongly condemned the Zionist Israel state for its unbridled violation of the provisions of the ceasefire agreement agreed upon by the two sides on November 24, 2024. The latest is Israel’s refusal to withdraw its military forces from the country on January 26, as the agreement states. The agreement will expire on the morning of January 27.

The US and France served as mediators of negotiations for a 60-day ceasefire after Israel invaded Lebanon in September 2024. The agreement included the withdrawal of Zionist forces in the southern part of Lebanon, in exchange for the Lebanese Army replacing the Hezbollah forces that bravely defended the towns near there. UN peacekeeper forces will also enter the areas Israel will withdraw from.

Israel’s Zionist prime minister has announced that it will not respect the 60-day limit, and unilaterally declared that he will carry out the withdrawal of forces “after” the ceasefire agreement.

“There has been a delay in a number of stages as a result of Israeli procrastination in, which complicates the army’s deployment mission,” the Lebanese Army head said. Lebanese forces must enter many areas bombed by Israel to clear them of unexploded ordnance and, with civilian residents, begin the reconstruction of destroyed houses and buildings.

“Any breach of the 60-day timeline constitutes a blatant violation of the agreement, an attack on Lebanese sovereignty, and the beginning of a new chapter of occupation,” Hezbollah warned. “This demands that the state (of Lebanon) confront it using all means and methods sanctioned by international conventions to reclaim the land and wrest it from the grip of the occupation.”

Hezbollah calls for the quick return of thousands of civilians who were driven out of their towns when Israeli forces bombed and attacked them.

If Israel does not withdraw its forces, the Lebanese people will be forced to “confront the Israeli occupation through all possible means … to force it from our land” according to a Hezbollah legislator. This confrontation is the responsibility of all Lebanese, he said.
